2022 College Enrolments

Campion College has an Enrolment Scheme for applications for entry into the College so that the College maintains student numbers within its maximum roll of 512. Within the maximum roll, guidelines of 78 in each of Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 have been established to avoid an imbalance in the school roll and to provide for the delivery of quality education.
The Integration Agreement for Campion College gives preference of enrolment to students whose parents have established a particular or general religious connection with the Special Character of the college. The New Zealand Catholic Bishops’ Conference has determined the criteria for preference of enrolment in Integrated Catholic Schools.
The Board will circulate the number of places available for enrolment to the Campion community by October in each year.
PREFERENCE OF ENROLMENT
As legally required all applications will be initially determined as being either a preference enrolment or a non-preference enrolment. To be given preference enrolment, the application must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
1. The student has been baptised, or is being prepared for baptism, in the Catholic Church.
2. The student’s parents/guardians have allowed one or more of its siblings to be baptised in the Catholic faith.
3. At least one parent/guardian is a Catholic
4. A significant familial adult such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle, undertakes to support the student’s formation in the faith and practices of the Catholic Church.
5. One or more of the student’s non-Catholic parents/guardians is preparing to become a Catholic.
Preference of enrolment is confirmed by a member of the local committee appointed for this purpose.
